Terms and Conditions
Effective date: October 1, 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of www.togetherla.org and other Together Louisiana web pages that link to these Terms (the “Website”). “Together Louisiana,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Together Louisiana.
Together Louisiana is a statewide network of congregations, civic organizations, and local leaders working together to address community concerns and strengthen civic participation.
By using the Website, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. Separate terms may apply to particular programs, events, or services; those terms govern that activity if they conflict with these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Permitted use
You may use the Website to learn about our work, access resources, contact us, participate in opportunities we offer, and make donations.
You agree not to use the Website to violate the law; threaten, harass, or impersonate others; submit fraudulent information; infringe another person’s rights; distribute malicious software; gain unauthorized access to systems or data; or interfere with the Website’s operation.
If you submit information, provide accurate details and only information you are authorized to share. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Website or address violations of these Terms.
3. Website materials
Unless otherwise identified, Website text, graphics, photographs, videos, logos, and other materials belong to Together Louisiana or their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may link to our public pages and download or share materials for personal, educational, or noncommercial community use, provided you retain attribution and notices, comply with any material-specific restrictions, and do not misrepresent the content or imply our endorsement. Obtain permission for other uses. These Terms do not limit rights you have under applicable law.
Use of our name or logo to suggest sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement requires our written permission.
4. Submissions and public participation
When you submit a message, registration, story, photograph, or other material, you authorize us to use it as reasonably necessary to respond to your request or administer the activity for which you submitted it.
Submitting a private message does not, by itself, authorize us to publish your story, photograph, or identifying information. We will request separate permission or clearly explain the intended public use when collecting material for publication.
Information you choose to post in public areas of the Website may be visible to others. Do not post confidential information or another person’s personal information without authorization. We may remove public submissions that are unlawful, abusive, misleading, unrelated to the discussion, or otherwise violate these Terms.
5. Donations
Before completing a donation, review the amount, frequency, recipient, and any fees shown at checkout. By submitting a payment, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method and authorize the charge you select.
If you expressly select a recurring donation, you authorize charges at the amount and frequency shown until canceled. To cancel or change future donations, use any management option provided in your receipt or contact contact@togetherla.org. Cancellation stops future charges once processed; it does not automatically refund earlier donations.
For an accidental, duplicate, or unauthorized charge, contact us promptly. We will review refund requests individually, subject to applicable law and any policy disclosed at checkout. Nothing here limits rights available through your payment provider or under law.
Donations support our charitable work. Any tax deductibility depends on the receiving entity, the nature of the contribution, and applicable law. Keep your receipt and consult your tax adviser if needed.
6. Events, programs, and communications
Event dates, locations, capacity, and program availability may change. Registration does not guarantee eligibility for a service, assistance, funding, or a particular outcome. Additional participation requirements will be provided where applicable.
If you subscribe to email updates, you may unsubscribe using the link in our messages or contact us. If we offer text updates, enrollment is subject to the consent language and messaging terms presented when you sign up. Website use alone does not enroll you in text messages.
7. External websites and services
The Website may link to independent websites or use third-party services for donations, registration, videos, or other features. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control independent websites or guarantee their content or availability.
8. Information and availability
We work to provide useful, accurate information, but content may become outdated or contain errors. The Website provides general information and does not replace professional legal, medical, financial, engineering, or emergency advice.
The Website is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
9. Limits on liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Together Louisiana is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for intentional or gross fault, physical injury, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These Terms do not waive nonwaivable rights.
10. Governing law and other provisions
Louisiana law governs these Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice where appropriate or legally required. Changes apply prospectively; we will obtain additional agreement when required by law.
