Louisiana is the only state in the NATION to allow a STATE-LEVEL entity -- the Board of Commerce and Industry -- to approve tax exemptions for industry from SCHOOL DISTRICT and other local taxes.
This petition calls upon our legislature to PROTECT LOCAL CONTROL over the industrial tax exemption program.
